The new site will have 8 classrooms, doubling the capacity of the company's existing site on Roszel Road. The Roszel Road training center will close with the opening of this new site.
"We
totally outgrew our space. I've been selling training into this Princeton location
for 5 years. Lately it's been difficult to accommodate everyone who needs training
here because we only had 4 classrooms," stated Sean McSorley, the New Jersey
territory manager for ONLC Training Centers. "The new location is in a brand
new class-A building and will have twice as many classrooms," continued McSorley.
The Quakerbridge Road location is approximately 10 minutes from the company's existing Princeton site. "Our clients should have no trouble finding us. In addition, compared to Route 1, the traffic isn't as bad on Quakerbridge Road so we will be more easily accessible for most clients," according to McSorley.
Core
Duo in the Classroom
To outfit the new classrooms, ONLC is switching to
Intel's Core Duo CPU chip set in its student computers. "Many of our classes
are running on virtual machine technology. These new CPU chips have the capacity
for hardware-driven virtualization. The bottom-line from a student's perspective
is that these machines will be significantly faster that previous Intel CPU chips,"
according to Bruce Balogh, the company's facility specialist responsible for hardware
selection.
The new Quakerbridge Road location will host public
classes for authorized training for software vendors such as Microsoft,
Citrix, Novell,
CWSP Wireless.
The largest
classroom in the facility will accommodate up to 16 students and classrooms can
be rented for product demos as well as private training
events for corporate clients.
The Training You
Want, Where You Want It
"Our Princeton-area expansion will make it
easier for us to deliver on our promise of providing 'the training you want, where
you want it'," stated Jim Palic, ONLC Training Centers' president. Other
ONLC Training locations in New Jersey include Mt. Laurel and Hasbrouck Heights
(in cooperation with a partner). Several of the new classrooms were designed to
hold 2 to 4 students for Remote Classroom Instruction (RCI) events. RCI is the
company's technology for combining enrollments from multiple locations. This allows
them to cancel fewer events and deliver training to locations that wouldn't normally
have enough enrollments to run with an instructor present. With RCI students can
get local hands-on instructor-led training without having to incur significant
travel costs.
